Project researcher Marek Vronka found and present in his publication new type of structure modulation in Ni-Mn-Ga-based alloy, which is linked with the lattice instability and resulting supermobility of twin boundaries and magnetic shape memory effect. The finding is highly relevant for the design of new magnetic shape memory alloys with even larger magnetic field-induced strain than before (>10%).
